Moving On: Speakers and Exhibitors
It’s been fun on the blog in the last two months talking about the tours and great research venues around Grand Rapids which are going to be part of the NGS 2018 Family History Conference experience.
But the real reason you’ll come to the NGS Conference in Grand Rapids is to LEARN, right? To educate yourself in becoming a better researcher…and you’ve thought about what that means, haven’t you? Because in the immortal words of Lewis Carroll, “If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there.” And your conference experience is too valuable to take just “any road.”
Over the next two eight to ten weeks, we’ll be highlighting some of the sessions which all of our speakers work so hard to prepare and present to you. Take an hour, sit down with the conference registration brochure and a pencil, and circle the ones that interest you. Then go back and match those against the skills you want to improve and the areas you need to learn more about.
Finally, surprise yourself! Attend a session with a speaker you’ve never heard of, or a topic you think you have little interest in. It’s amazing what you can learn, and I promise you will take something useful away from every session.
