Join David Lambert, Chief Genealogist at NEHGS (New England Historic Genealogical Society) for a lecture covering resources for researching your New England Ancestors online and in repositories. Today, many New England research sources for the 17th to 20th century can be accessed via your home computer on a variety of free and commercial websites.

In addition to the online resources of www.AmericanAncestors.org, David will cover some of the best primary sources NEHGS has to offer. Resources now available on sites such as  www.FamilySearch.org, www.Ancestry.com and other local websites will also be discussed. Whether you are researching ancestors from the Great Migration era or the late 19th century, David’s expertise will leave you with advice and pointers to make your New England research activities more productive and successful.

Some of the records covered in this lecture include church records, vital records, probate records, deed research, and other less used sources which can tell the story of your New England ancestry. David will also be available for questions and further discussions at the American Ancestors booth in the Exhibit Hall.

BRIEF BIO: David is the Chief Genealogist at NEHGS (New England Historic Genealogical Society – www.AmericanAncestors.org) where he has worked since 1993.
