NGS 2021 On-Demand! Speaker Spotlight – Jill N. Crandell
Writing Quality Research Objectives – Jill N. Crandell
SESSION: NGS2104-SP-16 TRACK: Writing
SPONSORED BY: Research Ties
Learn to be a more effective and efficient researcher by writing quality research objectives to focus your efforts.
Too many researchers spend their time wandering aimlessly through catalogs, online databases, and shelves of books. Without a research objective, they don’t know what they are looking for, and therefore, can’t find it. This session will teach attendees how to write quality research objectives that can guide research efforts and produce better results. Writing objectives is one of the steps of the research process, and this topic will be presented in that context.
Also, because this lecture is sponsored by ResearchTies, a portion of the presentation will include instruction on how to record these objectives in the ResearchTies log. This program is an online genealogy research log with multi-variable search capacity. Users are able to locate any log entry or “to do” item in seconds. No more searching through printouts or lengthy spreadsheets!
