The Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy (SLIG) offers genealogists, archivists, historians, and librarians the opportunity to elevate their education by:

LEARNING from the field’s top educators
OBTAINING in-depth instruction
NETWORKING with respected experts
CONSULTING with successful researchers
RESEARCHING at the Family History Library

SLIG primarily offers high-intermediate to advanced-level courses, with some intermediate courses geared to strengthen the core understanding of the research process.

Held annually in Salt Lake City, Utah, SLIG opens with a welcome reception on Sunday and ends with a banquet on Friday evening. Classes run Monday through Friday, with special events and research time at the nearby Family History Library in the evenings.

Our 2018 program will be held at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center, 21-26 January, with an optional “technology day” on Saturday, 20 January.
