Western Michigan Genealogical Society Luncheon T232, ($30); Tony Burroughs, FUGA, “My Infamous Ancestors”

Thursday, 3 May 2018, 12:15 p.m., Ballroom D

We have all found an interesting character or two while doing the research of our ancestors’ lives. Some of those individuals we are proud to claim as a member of our family and love to share stories about them. Others—well…let’s just say that we are a little less than enthusiastic to enter them into our database. Tony Burroughs will share what he has discovered about his infamous ancestors.

Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum, T270, ($25) – Dessert and Museum Exhibits

Thursday, 3 May 2018, 6:00‒8:30 p.m.

Visit the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum, 303 Pearl Street NW, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49504, which is a two-block walk across the Grand River from the hotel. View the galleries, which includes a replica of the presidential oval office and enjoy a dessert sampler and coffee with fellow genealogists. The Schubert Male Chorus has been performing since 1883 and will entertain us with wide variety of songs in a Glee Club tradition.

The event includes entrance to all the museum galleries on the second floor which will remind many attendees of the 1960’s and 1970’s. A new exhibit, “In Step with Betty Ford: In Celebration of Her Centennial” opened earlier this month. President Gerald R. Ford and Betty Ford are buried on the grounds.
