Carly Lane Morgan, JD, is a professional genealogist, educator, writer, and creator of Family Tree Notebooks. Her work focuses on finding and telling the stories that can be overlooked in traditional genealogical research, particularly when families do not fit neatly into conventional records, relationships, or historical narratives.

Carly’s research interests include Chinese American genealogy, complex parentage and family structures, women’s history, and the lives of people who have often been marginalized or poorly represented in the historical record.
