Allison Ryall, AIGG, is a Forensic Genetic Genealogist with Bode Technology, where she applies advanced genetic genealogy methods to support law enforcement and forensic investigations. Her casework includes the identification of unknown individuals, the resolution of cold cases, and investigative support in active criminal matters, translating DNA results into actionable leads through disciplined genealogical research and analysis.

Allison also spent 17 years as a faculty member in Boston University’s Genealogy Studies Program, teaching research methodology and genetic genealogy. With a foundation in traditional genealogy and evidence-based research, she is passionate about elevating professional standards, documentation, and analytical rigor in both genealogical and forensic contexts. Prior to working full time in FIGG, Allison spent ten years as the genealogy specialist for the Orange County Library System in Florida, managing a wide range of patron research questions and developing practical strategies that blended documentary research with DNA evidence.

She holds a Master’s Certificate in Crime Analysis from the University of Central Florida, degrees in U.S. History and Russian Studies, and a Master’s degree in American and New England Studies from the University of Southern Maine.
