Debbie Mieszala, Certified GenealogistTM, specializes in forensic genealogy, 20th– and 21st– century research, and Midwest research. She conducts genealogical research for the military to locate relatives of service members missing in past wars. Debbie has lectured on the national circuit, and has taught at the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy, the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research, the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh, and the GRIP Genealogy Institute. She created and taught a course for Ancestry Academy. Debbie formerly served as a trustee of the Board for Certification of Genealogists. She earned a certificate in paralegal studies to better understand legally influenced documents used by genealogists, and to become more skilled at researching historic laws.
