Patricia R. Reed, CG®, is a genealogy researcher, writer, and educator who focuses on developing practical research skills and evidence-based analysis. From 2023–2026, she served as Education Course Manager for the National Genealogical Society, where she developed advanced genealogy curriculum and oversaw both student and mentor engagement in the learning process. From 2022–2024, she was an instructor in GRIP’s “Tools & Strategies for Tacking Tough Research Problems.” She administered the GenProof Study Groups for three and a half years and taught in the Boston University Genealogy Studies program for four years. Her work has been published in the New England Historical and Genealogical Register, AmericanAncestors, Rhode Island Roots, and Stirpes. She earned the Certified Genealogist® credential in 2026.
