Sunny Jane Morton is Editor of NGS Magazine and a Contributing Editor at Family Tree Magazine. She is co-author of the NGS award-winning book, How to Find Your Family History in U.S. Church Records, and author of Searching for Sisters: A Guide to Researching Catholic Nuns in the United States (funded in part by the Cushwa Center for the Study of American Catholicism at the University of Notre Dame) and Story of My Life: A Workbook for Preserving Your Legacy, now in its 2nd edition. She is a past and award-winning Editor of Ohio Genealogy News. While she has built her career on teaching everyday skills for the popular genealogy market, her earliest publications were in academic journals. Her students often remark that she makes difficult concepts more accessible and fun to learn. She has previously coordinated other GRIP courses and often teaches online in both lecture and interactive formats. As a coordinator, she loves sharing her expertise (watch for jam-packed syllabi!) but also inviting other expert instructors to join her to enrich the learning experience for everyone.
